![]() I laughed, panicked and was (almost) carsick right along with them! The story had so much depth and realism that I literally felt I was in the car. As the miles tick by, the true personalities emerge and another aspect of each character is revealed. When reading, you know he will benefit from being Jess’s saviour in one way or another.Īlong with Jess’s two children Nicky and Tanzie, they head off for an impromptu road trip to Aberdeen, where Tanzie will compete in a maths competition. Money can’t buy happiness and that is certainly true for Ed, as it has led to trouble for him, so when Jess needs help he jumps at the chance. ![]() Mr Nicholls is someone Jess cleans for, but when fate throws them together, he becomes her friend Ed. This is the second book in the Trilogy and focuses more on the relationship between Christian and Ana. I highly recommend this book as a selection for book clubs.īook Club Talking Points: Talking Points: It's all very entertaining and will surely provoke a stimulating if not educational discussion. As in all relationships it has it's ups and downs and is filled with compromises. However, the real appeal of this book is the love story between Christian and Ana. Reader beware, "Fifty Shades Darker " has strong sexual content, which involves BDSM. As the book progresses, more is revealed about Christian's childhood and the ramifications of the abuse he endured. Once again, I am enthralled with the banter between the characters as they flirt through e-mails and telephone calls. As the story continues, so does the romance between Christian and Ana as they hash out their differences about the future of their relationship.
